At Healthy Sleep Tulsa, we focus on one thing: helping people breathe better so they can sleep better and feel better during the day. Our dental sleep medicine practice in Tulsa, OK, provides airway-focused care for adults and children dealing with sleep apnea, snoring, restrictive lip and tongue ties, and unhealthy oral muscle patterns. Led by Dr. Lori Hare alongside Dr. Billie Reeder and Dr. Robin Ross, our team combines thoughtful evaluation, advanced airway technology, personalized treatment, and ongoing follow-up. Our goal is to help every patient Experience Life-Changing Airway Therapy and Breathe More, Live More, Thrive More.

A Practice Built Around Better Breathing

Healthy Sleep Tulsa grew out of the dental sleep medicine services at Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry into a practice dedicated to sleep and airway care. Instead of dividing our attention among routine dental services, we focus on breathing, sleep, and oral function.

That means our team spends its time helping patients who need care, such as:

Routine dental care, cosmetic dentistry, restorative treatment, and other general dental services are provided through our sister practice rather than Healthy Sleep Tulsa. This allows our Tulsa team to maintain a clear focus on airway health.

Why Our Focus on Dental Sleep Medicine Matters

Sleep apnea and other airway concerns rarely fit into a one-size-fits-all solution. Effective care begins with understanding what is happening when you breathe, how your symptoms affect your daily life, and which treatment options make sense for your individual needs.

Our focused approach allows us to look beyond simply delivering an appliance or completing a procedure. We evaluate, treat, monitor, and adjust care as needed so you have support throughout the process.

For patients with obstructive sleep apnea, this may include coordinating a home sleep study, selecting and fitting an oral appliance, adjusting it over time, and completing a titration sleep study to evaluate how effectively treatment is working.

Care That Continues After Treatment Begins

We believe follow-up is an important part of airway care. Delivering an oral appliance is not the end of the relationship.

For oral appliance patients, our structured follow-up process includes:

  • An in-office visit approximately two months after appliance delivery
  • A six-month telemedicine follow-up
  • Yearly telemedicine visits
  • Sleep study titration to evaluate treatment effectiveness
  • Ongoing communication with referring healthcare providers when appropriate

When a primary care physician or sleep physician refers a patient to Healthy Sleep Tulsa, we also provide follow-up communication about the patient’s care. This coordinated approach helps keep everyone involved in treatment informed.

Advanced Airway Technology in Tulsa

Seeing and measuring the airway gives our doctors additional information when planning care. Healthy Sleep Tulsa uses technology selected to make evaluation and treatment more precise, comfortable, and informative for our patients.

Our technology includes:

  • CBCT imaging for detailed three-dimensional views of oral and airway structures
  • A pharyngometer for airway measurement
  • iTero digital scanning for accurate records without traditional impression material
  • OraVerse, when appropriate, to help reduce lingering numbness after certain procedures

Technology does not replace a careful clinical evaluation or medical diagnosis. Instead, it provides our team with additional information to help us understand your anatomy, plan care, and monitor treatment.

Personalized Options for
Sleep and Airway Health

There is no single appliance, procedure, or therapy that is right for every patient. We start by understanding your symptoms, health history, treatment experience, and goals.

For adults with obstructive sleep apnea, we may discuss custom oral appliance therapy as an alternative to CPAP or as part of combined therapy. For families dealing with restrictive oral tissues, our team can evaluate lip and tongue ties. Children and adults may also benefit from myofunctional therapy to improve patterns involving the tongue and muscles of the mouth and throat.

When sleep testing is needed, we can help patients get set up for a home sleep study. A qualified medical provider makes the sleep apnea diagnosis, while our team helps coordinate the next steps for dental sleep treatment when appropriate.

I had a wonderful experience at my consultation for a dental device for sleep apnea! Everything was explained very clearly, including cost and insurance filing, as well as what to expect during treatment. They were friendly and also went above and beyond to schedule my next appointment at a convenient time for me. I highly recommend Healthy Sleep Tulsa!

This office is fantastic. I started coming here to deal with snoring issues but they have helped me get a lot of the things done that should have been dealt with years ago. Invisalign (I finally feel great about my smile) tongue tie release (Jessica helped me get ready for the procedure and recovery was a breeze). And I haven’t slept better in years than I have with the sleep appliance — Julie is incredible. This office is also just full of delightful people. Can’t recommend more highly.
